This Privacy Policy explains how ASwire, operated by Ali Houmani (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information we collect

Account information — name, email address, organisation and role, provided when an account is created.
Project data — the electrical-design information you enter (projects, circuits, cables, trays, conduits, trenches, reports).
Usage and technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service (e.g. sign-in events, IP address, browser type).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information and ask that you do not enter it.

2. How we use it

to provide, maintain and improve the Service;
to authenticate users and keep each organisation’s data isolated;
to generate the reports and outputs you request;
to communicate about your account, security and service changes;
to comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.

3. Service providers

We use reputable third-party providers to host and operate the Service (including cloud hosting, database, authentication and, if paid plans are introduced, payment processing). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations. Some may store or process data outside Australia; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections. We can provide details of our current providers on request.

4. Data isolation & security

Each organisation’s data is segregated using database row-level security. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. On request we will delete or de-identify personal information where we are not required to retain it.

6. Your rights

Subject to law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may withdraw consent or complain about our handling of it. Contact us using the details below; we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you are not satisfied.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be notified in the application or by email.
